預防：兔籠地板以竹板為好，籠底要平整，竹板上無釘子頭外露，籠內無銳利物等。保持兔籠、產箱內清潔、衛生、干燥，減少細菌感染的機會。對具有習慣性腳皮炎的家兔，不應選作種用。可用葡萄球菌病滅活菌苗進行預防注射，每年2次。
