一、比例失調(diào)。理論上1只種公兔可以負(fù)擔(dān)8~10只母兔的配種任務(wù)，但實(shí)際上1只種公兔承擔(dān)10只母兔的配種任務(wù)時(shí)，如實(shí)行復(fù)配，那么這只種公兔就要每天連續(xù)配種2次。如此長(zhǎng)期頻繁地使用，種公兔會(huì)因體質(zhì)消耗過(guò)大而導(dǎo)致性欲減退、精液品質(zhì)下降，受配母兔空懷率高，失去種用價(jià)值。

  二、配種過(guò)早。長(zhǎng)毛兔的性成熟早于體成熟。小體型品系的兔3~4月齡就達(dá)到性成熟。而6月齡才接近體成熟；大體型品系的兔4~5月齡達(dá)到性成熟，8月齡時(shí)才接近體成熟。有些剛引種的養(yǎng)殖場(chǎng)、戶(hù)為了在種兔銷(xiāo)售形勢(shì)好的時(shí)候，早繁殖早出售種兔，不到配種月齡就使種兔提早配種繁殖，結(jié)果因種兔營(yíng)養(yǎng)水平和身體狀況滿(mǎn)足不了自身和胎兒生長(zhǎng)發(fā)育的需要，造成妊娠母兔大量流產(chǎn)，或產(chǎn)下死胎、弱仔，母兔產(chǎn)后無(wú)乳或乳汁不足等情況，這樣不但沒(méi)有達(dá)到預(yù)期目的，反而使種兔身體受到損失，推遲了繁殖期。
